I am a Master’s student working with Dr. Stephen Vavrus from CCR and Tristan L’Ecuyer. My current research is focused on investigating Arctic Cyclones and the associated effects on sea-ice using different models such as CESM. The team working on this project also includes some of the scientists from NCAR, Boulder. We will be working on a hypothesis to understand the feedback system including atmospheric rivers, high wind speeds, Ekman transport, and Arctic Sea-ice. My broader research interests are to study atmosphere-ice-ocean interactions and other climate feedback at the polar regions and Himalayas that can help minimize the repercussions of ice loss on the global climate.
