Rosa Vargas-Martes
Research: My current research involves understating the role that water vapor and temperature play in the development and maintenance of convection in Easterly Waves (EWs). The results of this work will help with the overall understanding of EWs, which in turn could benefit how we visualize these systems in our weather models.
Research Interests: • Tropical Meteorology (EWs, MJO, ENSO, Hurricanes) • Large Scale Atmospheric Dynamics • Climate Change • General Circulation • Planetary Sciences
