I’m a fifth year PhD student in AOS, and a member of Dr. Ankur Desai’s Ecometeorology Lab. Broadly speaking, I study land-atmosphere interactions with a focus on the terrestrial carbon cycle and nature-based climate solutions. Prior to coming to grad school I have experience teaching, in climate activism, and as a research technician in both government and university environments. After finishing my PhD I’d like to work as a research scientist at a national lab. Outside of research I like live music, mountain biking, cooking, skiing, hiking, etc. |

I am a fourth year graduate student working with Tracey Holloway to model the interactions of chemistry and meteorology. These interactions can be important drivers of air quality, so I am especially interested in pollutants like ozone. After (hopefully) graduating, I would like to teach at a predominantly undergraduate institution (PUI) so that I can focus more of my time of teaching and less on research. In my spare time, I like to knit and crochet, bake unhealthy desserts, and go hiking to work off the unhealthy desserts. |

I am a PhD student focusing on synoptic-dynamic meteorology with interests in numerical modeling, computer programming, and winter weather. I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska but have lived on the east side of Madison ever since I was 5. I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed my master's degree at UW-Madison in Fall of 2021. I am open to having a mentee with any backgrounds, interests, or identities. In my free time, I enjoy running, eating good food, napping, playing volleyball and tennis, or watching sports of any kind. |
