Hannah Zanowski Receives Research Forward Award

AOS Professor Hannah Zanowski is a co-principal investigator for “Searching for signs of life in exoplanet Hycean Worlds,” which was one of nine projects on campus recently chosen for a Research Forward award. Using a combination of laboratory studies, computer models, and telescope observations, this collaborative effort aims to answer whether Hycean exoplanets can support the chemistry required for the formation of life. Research Forward awards are sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education (OVCRGE) and support highly innovative, cross-disciplinary, and groundbreaking research at UW–Madison.
