Prof. Wang elected Academician of the Academia Sinica
July 13, 2018UW-AOS Professor Emeritus Pao Wang has been elected to be an Academicaian of the Academia Sinica.
Academia Sinica is Taiwan’s equivalent of the US Academy of Sciences. An Academician is equivalent to a member of the NAS or a Fellow of the Royal Society of the U. K.
Academicians of the AS include 8 Nobel laureates as well as a few Wolf Prizes, field Medal and Turing Prize, NAS and NAE members.
