Zhengyu Liu is a professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Environmental Sciences in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and the Nelson Center for Climatic Research/Nelson Institute of Enviromental Studies.

Liu's research interest is in the modeling and dynamics of the climate system in the past, present and future, dynamics of the coupled ocean-atmosphere-land system, general oceanic circulation and geophysical fluid dynamics.
