CLIMATOGRAPH
This graph is called a climatograph (or climagram) and it used to display the seasonal variations in temperature and precipitation at a given location. The red curve represents the 30-year average or normal monthly high temperature for the selected station plotted for each month of the year; the blue curve is the normal monthly low temperature; and the black curve is the normal average monthly temperature. These temperature plots are scaled against the left-hand axis on this graph. The normal monthly precipitation values are plotted with the green bars in association with the right-hand axis. The 1971-2000 data used in these plots were compiled by the National Climatic Data Center (Climatography of the U.S., No. 81) and are available from the Midwestern Regional Climate Center.
