Elena Willmot

Elena Willmot received her BS in 2012 and MS in 2014 in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at UW-Madison. After some graduate work in Environmental Science at Vanderbilt University, she moved back to Madison to start a career in data analytics. She currently works for UW Health doing analytics for the Population Health department.

Elena is able to leverage her AOS degrees in healthcare by routinely performing statistical analysis on very large datasets as well as specializing in geospatial analysis. She is a member of the Applied Data Science team at UW Health, where they build and deploy predictive models for various clinical use cases. She also teaches quarterly Python workshops to hundreds of employees. While she is not directly tied to the weather industry these days, you can still find her on the occasional storm chase.
